Simulator OEM Entrol has announced that it has been granted a Letter of Approval (LOA) by the FAA for its H1000 AATD simulator. The LOA gives the company the ability to certify the simulator directly from the factory.

This unit features a cockpit based on the Bell 505 helicopter, complete with a replica of the Garmin G1000 avionics suite developed by Entrol. Designed for single-seat operation with the option for a co-pilot seat, the simulator provides an immersive training experience tailored to meet the needs of helicopter pilots and offers unparalleled realism, versatility, and customisation options.

Entrol already has two examples of the H1000 AATD simulator in operation at the US Army’s flight training centre at Fort Novosel where they are being used by the US Army to train cadets and prepare future pilots for their aviation careers. Meanwhile, two more units are slated for installation at another client facility.
